Quality Inn & Suites Westminster - Broomfield

Overall I feel like I got a great value here. Things were almost perfect for an economy hotel. Decent breakfast in the morning included in the rate, not great, 2 days they had chicken nuggets as the protein and one day we had omelette type egg patties. Anyway enough to get the day started if needed. Plenty of coffee. The rooms were nice, bed was comfy, my wife said her coffee machine did not work in her room, we didn't try ours in our room. It has a workout room with a treadmill that sticks when you run on it but most of them do it seems like, it has a swimming pool that's pretty decent size with a hot tub as well, and on site guest laundry if you need it. Overall service was excellent, very polite and very attentive, until last morning. Seems like the first two days in the morning was maybe part of the ownership working the desk and the last day was way too typical American employee here doing the minimum required to get a paycheck. Had to ring the bell several times over 5 min for him to come out to recharge my room key that stopped working, and when he came out he was on the phone talking to someone. Said "yeah. It's really cold...", barely spoke to me except to find out what room I was in and what my last name was, kept talking on the phone, and finally said here you go have a good day and went back in the back and kept talking on the phone. Came back down after another half hour or so and he's still walking around talking on the phone so I guess that's cool.

Do not waste your time booking a room at this sorry excuse of a hotel. We drove 12 hours from our hometown. And after eating dinner, I opened my email to get the address in order to enter it on my GPS. To my surprise my reservation was canceled! Their excuse was that they tried running the payment and it was declined. My card had had a fraud alert attached to it since we had traversed 3 states and used it for several purchases along the way. We called and were told that they ran the full payment at 1pm even though check in is at 3pm, “hotel policy” I was informed. They also said they called me to ask for a different payment method. Not one missed called from anyone on my call log. The email was sent at 5:45pm. I am a Platinum level member, I didn’t expect that type of treatment for my loyalty to Choice Hotels. I was told they had no rooms available, my reservation had been made since July. Customer service at its worse! This establishment almost ruined one of my most joyous moments in my life; my son’s graduation from college. Luckily Hyatt Place West Central Westminster saved the day and had 2 rooms for my family to enjoy our 4 days and 3 nights stay in the Denver region. So instead of even considering booking here, make sure you book at the Hyatt Place instead!!!

If I would give NO stars I would.....I would HIGHLY recommend you don't stay here! I had a terrible experience with a staff member there by the name of AMIR. I was having issues with myColorado™ app looking up my ID so he was frustrated from the start, his lack of patience was very apparent. Then I was having issues with my card so I asked if I can use a different card and he said "unfortunately it's not Christmas every day so no I can't help you." At that point with his whole demeanor and attitude towards me I told him that he was very rude and I wanted a refund. He proceeded to be verbally abusive to the points where I was very uncomfortable as a women that I was going to call the cops. I ended up getting a refund because there was no way I was staying at an establishment that talk to their guests that way! If he has no customer service skills, then maybe he shouldn't work at the front desk! Do better AMIR!!
